John Harris:

In 1969, John Harris founded the Venice Poetry Workshop at Beyond Baroque Foundation with Joseph Hansen. In the 1970s and 1980s, he was the proprietor of Papa Bach Books, the historic bookstore and literary center where a generation of Los Angeles poets came of age artistically. His poems have appeared in many periodicals and anthologies and in two collections, "Where Love Is" and "Against the Day of the Dead." His manuscript "Climbing" was a finalist for the University of Pittsburg Press U.S. Poetry Award judged by Muriel Rukeyser.

Frankie Drayus:

Frankie Drayus lives for the feel of words in her mouth. She has featured at numerous venues including the Seattle Poetry Festival, Beyond Baroque, and The World Stage, and has read at hundreds of open mics from Los Angeles to New York City. She has published two chapbooks, all the maybes shift to yes and Ceci n'est pas Magritte, and a spoken word CD, Naked Voice Only. Her poems and art have appeared in ART/LIFE, Vox Populi, and Beyond the Valley of the Contemporary Poets. Frankie is a co-director of the poetry nonprofit Valley Contemporary Poets and a frequent contributor to LitRave.com. Her poem, "Yielding," has been optioned for dramatization as a screenplay and is currently a film project at the Canadian Film Centre. This fall she will begin the MFA program in poetry at NYU.

Carmen E. Vega:

Michael C. Ford:

Michael C Ford was born on the Illinois side of Lake Michigan. His debut spoken word vinyl {on SST} LANGUAGE COMMANDO earned a Grammy nomination in 1986. His book of Selected Poems EMERGENCY EXITS was honored by a 1998 Pulitzer Prize nomination. His last CD FIRE ESCAPES was bankrolled in 1995 by New Alliance: produced at Sonora by Michael Campagna who also composed and orchestrated most of the charts. He concluded a recording project: a verbal rhapsody which pays an important tribute to both the art and the history of percussion; collaborating with DOORS cofounder John Densmore at the drum kit. MCF has participated in keeping THE DOORS open by occasionally being in the company of keyboardist Ray Manzarek. Since their milestone appearances at McCabe’s (1986-1989) they’ve been collaborating on several voice and piano recording dates {the most recent being a specially conceived track titled EXTREME UNCTION FOR JAMES DOUGLAS MORRISON for Hen House Studios anthology Vol. 4}.
Besides publishing music journalism, essays and assays on other aspects of American cultural history, he’s served as judge and panelist for literary arts organizations and publishers. Ford’s plays have been staged internationally, and a screenplay version of a West Coast production of BLONDES DON’T BOTHER TO KNOCK is currently in production. He’s been called into service to teach in USA county area middle-schools and high-schools through the PEN in the Classroom program: also at many nationwide universities; and to recite at various venues: many times with musical accompaniment.
